Each year Ashley Stewart searches the country for their next Great Woman of Style. We caught up with this year's winner Crystal Madison at her first shoot in NYC.
 
[Maddy] Tell me a little about yourself.
 
[Crystal] I'm an aspiring model and hairstylist.
 
[Maddy] How did you find out about the Ashley Stewart Model search?
 
[Crystal] One day I went to the store to shop and saw the advertisement for the model search. My oldest daughter was with me and said "Mommy you should do it!"
 
[Maddy] How did you find out that you had won the Great Woman of Style Model Search?
 
[Crystal] I received a phone call a few months after I entered that I was a finalist. I was so excited! Then I was told that I had won and I was amazed.
 
[Maddy] What does Ashley Stewart represent to you?
 
[Crystal] Ashley Stewart empowers the full-figured woman. They promote a confident and stylish woman. I believe that they know who we are and how we want to represent ourselves.
 
[Maddy] What makes Ashley Stewart different from other Stores selling plus size clothing?
 
[Crystal] They have such a unique style of clothing and fashions. Their fit is perfect for women with a fuller body. You can tell that they have invested in getting to know the body and mindset of the full-figured woman.
 
[Maddy] I'm sure there are many beautiful plus size ladies that wanted to enter but did not because of lack of confidence, these ladies are going to see you on a national campaign. What would you like to say to them?
 
[Crystal] If you are a dreamer and if you feel like you want to achieve anything you must be positive. Have confidence in knowing that the best is yet to come for you. If you want to achieve those dreams then work towards them and know within your inner man that you can achieve it.
 
[Maddy] How did you teach your daughters about confidence and empower them as young women?
 
[Crystal] I have taught them to have take care of their outer and inner selves. I don't allow them to say they cannot do something... we believe in being positive. Even when it's hard I advise them to push forward.
 
[Maddy] Is there anything you want to say to Ashley Stewart?
 
[Crystal] I want to say Thank You to everyone involved and also Winning this Great Woman of Style made me even more of a believer that dreams do come true.
