Maddy: What is the main goal when you are working on a
picture?
Tia: My primary goal is to keep it natural! One of the
mistakes I often see in others' work is going overboard wherein the models
looks fake, plastic if you will. Let's face it, most of us have pores the last
time I checked... even laugh lines end up missing in a lot of images I see. I
find nothing wrong in decreasing these, but to rid them all together takes so
much character away from the image.... UNLESS that's the look the model is going
for, then of course, I can do that too!
Maddy: What are the industry's "Don'ts" about retouching?
Tia: Don't go overboard! I cannot stress this enough.
Agents/Managers want their clients' images to be the truest representation of
them and it is solely up to the retoucher at this point to maintain the
integrity of the image. Far too many times I see "flat areas" in a photo. A
good example of that is the curve of a woman's hip and thigh region, if
retouched in large sections instead of small increments; it'll most assuredly
look flat, loosing all the curvature that was there in the 1st place.
Maddy: Is there anything special that you have to focus on
when re-touching plus size models?
Tia: Plus size, straight size, pint size.... All the images
retouch the same.
Maddy: Do you have any "specials" that we can look forward
to?
Tia: For you Maddy.... I will offer this special. Readers of

receive the OUTRAGEOUS rate of $7 dollars per pic, up to 5 images. It just does
not get better than that!
