When did you decide you wanted to be a plus model?
After winning the first ever Miss Canada Plus Pageant in 2003
(www.mcpp.ca). I was given the opportunity to model for several of the
sponsors for the show and it was so exciting and fulfilling. I saw that
other young girls were thinking, "hey, you don't have to be a size 6 to
be a beauty queen", so I decided that it was time to show the world
that you don't have to be a size 6 to be a perfect 10!
Who are your favorite curvy role models?
--Obviously, Oprah Winfrey, Queen Latifah, Jordan Sparks from American
Idol & Tocarra Jones from America's Next Tope Model, but I also
admire a wonderful Canadian plus sized model named Liis Windischmann
If you could pick the perfect plus modeling campaign for yourself, who would you want to work for?
If I could pick the perfect campaign, it would be for Dove - Campaign
for Real Beauty. As a true Dove user, I love the product and would
endorse it well, and I stand behind what the campaign endorses, real
women, real beauty, in all shapes, sizes, colors and age. I think I
could represent that company with true beauty and respect.
