Robert E Knight was one of 12 designers featured at the first Full Figured Fashion Week on June 27th at the Prince George Ballroom. PLUS Model Magazine partnered with "Knight" to bring figure flattering styles to the runway and beyond. I've had the pleasure of working with Robert for several years so it was important for us to come together during such a special moment in plus fashion history.

[Maddy] Robert, I know you're a graduate of FIT. How long have you been designing your own line of clothing?

[Robert] I've been sewing for about 30 years and designing for twenty of those years. It seems like it was just yesterday I began cutting fabric and patterns while sitting on my bunk bed. My first real collection was for my Final Menswear Project at FIT. I began bringing designs for the fuller figured woman about six years ago.
