[Maddy] What's next for Velvet?

[Velvet] Let's see next week I am off to model in Prague.

Then I am psyched to have been contacted by French contemporary dance choreographer Lionel Hoche, as he is celebrating his 15-year retrospective and wants to include me in a video dance installation. He started it all for me way back when, with Kadarevesky performed at Trocadero's Palais Chaillot.

I am very excited to have been contacted by the BBC radio program THE WORLD (NPR) to be interviewed on a segment on size acceptance. I look forward to sharing my views in such a global venue.

I have been concentrating my efforts of late on my photography and am happy to report that STANDARD magazine has accepted a pic I shot of plus size model, Anabelle for a full page in their next issue!!!

I shoot a story for their December issue next month, which I am very excited about as I plan on using very unconventional models. Then they have accepted another editorial I shot with a more conventional size model (makeup story) for the issue after December as well.

I just love this mag as its super edgy, hip, cool and not specific to Plus, but open minded enough to consider my work. Then I sent some of my stuff to BUST magazine and I am happy to report that they are interested in me shooting a plus size story for them here in Paris!!! I hope to pull that together too, just need to work out clothes that are sold in USA but that I can bring together here.

The October shoot for my next cinematic role has been postponed for a rewrite so I do that now in Spring and as such am working on opening a website, where I think it would be great to incorporate a contest for potential models to fly here to Paris where I could shoot them. We shall see.

So busy as a bee as usual, but always happy to be included in PLUS Model Magazine!
