When Babs contacted us several months ago about a project involving celebrating curvy women in a "Real Women" Model Contest, we jumped at the chance to be included!  The Babs Studio Boutique contest was open to women of every shape, size and age and was designed to break through some archaic beauty myths and encourage confidence in women everywhere.

Winners were chosen form each of the four major 'body types' to represent real women everywhere. It was our PLUS pleasure to sit down for a virtual chat with two of the winners in the 'curvy' category, Dawn Barger and Christy McNeal.

This is what Dawn had this to say in her Babs interview...

What I love about my body: I love me~every perfectly sculpted inch of me! What others may view as imperfect, I view as wonderfully unique! I love the strength in my hips, which allows me to carry my twin girls-both at the same time! I love the way my waist, hips, and legs work together on the dance floor. I love my sturdy shoulders, that allow me to lug around my large handbags with ease. I love my tummy - soft and fluffy! I love my long, finger-like toes! I love my arms and hands, because they enable me to cook up a mean lasagna! I love my ankles, and I think they look so elegant in stilettos! I love my smile, and try to use it to brighten others' day! I love my body because it is healthy, and strong, and carries me through this wonderful life! I love my body because it is the most valuable, precious, and longest-lasting possession I will ever own! It is my shield against the outer world, and my place to curl into at night. I love my body, and encourage others to do the same!
