Tiffany: When did you decide you wanted to become a plus model?

Ariana: I was interested in modeling as a young girl reading my sister's fashion magazines. The only problem was I never looked like the models in those magazines. I've always been a plus sized girl and it wasn't until a Torrid employee handed me a modeling application that I realized hey, maybe I should go for it.

Tiffany: Who are your favorite curvy role models?

Ariana: I admire Crystal Renn for accepting her body the way it is and coming out about her past issues. It's not an easy thing to put out there publicly. Not to mention she is drop dead gorgeous.

Tiffany: What was it like modeling for Torrid?

Ariana: To be quite honest it was absolutely nerve wrecking. It was my very first modeling job and I was so nervous I couldn't get my smile right. That was a while ago though and I'm glad to say I've since improved. If Torrid comes a calling I'll definitely be ready this time.

Tiffany: Are there any other modeling campaigns you would want to work for?

Ariana: I would still love to do a national campaign for Torrid. I would also love to work with Carma Koma. I love their clothes very fashion forward.

Tiffany: I know you are trying to lose weight and lead a healthy lifestyle.  What are your weight-loss plans? What is your inspiration and motivation? 

Ariana: My only plans are to eat healthy and stay active with yoga, tai-chi and Pilates. That's been my plan for two years now and while I'm not melting away pounds I'm in great shape. My inspiration is to be healthy. No matter what I'm doing I'm happiest when I'm eating healthy and living healthy. This might sound odd to some people but I never want to be anything less than a size 12.
