I am admittedly obsessed with accessories, and in this month's issue, I am elated that we are celebrating them!  Accessorizing is very subjective, and we use them to place signature finishing touches on our personal style.  Statement rings, long pendants, oversized monochromatic watches, retro cat eye sunglasses, infinity scarves, comfy shawls, and ode to animals jewelry are among some of my favorite trends that we are currently seeing, so I picked a few of my absolute favorites to share with all of you. 

It is officially boot season, and we are up to our ears in fabulous boots that are being introduced to us in a very fresh way.  The 90's and military trends in fashion have spilled over into boots as well, and military, lace up, peep toe booties, wedges, knit top, and clogs have taken over.  We are also seeing a very strong fur trend this season, specifically in vests, hats, and trims.  Although I do not want to betray the beautiful fashions surrounded us, I feel compelled to be the voice for those who do not have a voice, and say that if you are going to rock the fur trend this season, faux fur is the ONLY way to go.  I urge you to take the time to think through your purchases, read the label, and not be blinded by the bliss of consumerism.  Wearing real fur is just plain cruel.  Now that I have said my peace for the animals, have fun with your fashion this October. Enjoy the transition into all of the fabulous fall fashion and accessories, and as I always say, make sure to "think outside the fashion box".

The west coast is at the forefront for plus fashion and the curvy community this month, as Love Your Body Day and Full Figured Fashion weekend will both take place here in Los Angeles, as well as Janet Howard debuting her plus collection at Fashion Week LA. What an exciting month... are you ready?
