Dangerous Curves Ahead is a Chicago based, plus size friendly charity fashion show and expo organized by Tamika Martell owner of A-Line Style Services. A generous amount of the profits from the event went to benefit the Primo Center For Homeless Women and Children. The event featured designers such as Chocolate Sushi Couture, Think Pink Couture, and season six Project Runway contestant Ramon Lawrence. The event was held at the Zhou B Art Center on April 24, 2010. Thanks to PLUS Model Magazine I was invited to attend the Fashion Show and Expo.

Upon walking into the Zhou B Art Center I was checked off of the list of attendees, handed a media pass, purple V.I.P wrist band, and a gift bag. I was impressed by how well the event was organized as well as the location chosen. The Zhou B Art Center is like a blank grey canvas, with hints of exposed brick, and huge artistic sculptures. The attendees were like the paint to the canvas, they filled the room with vibrancy and color. The main room held the V.I.P area which housed various sponsors. The V.I.P guests enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres provided b CoCo cafe and chocolate covered strawberries and champagne.
