The Heart & Soul Behind The Fennimas Jewelry Collection, 9/01/2010

Rachel Fennimore is talented and dedicated to her craft. Her clients vary from Indie and Hip Hop Artist to plus size models and MTV's TJ Gabi Gregg. Her passion is clear and her heart is absolutely in the right place. As we celebrate Fall Fashion, get to know a little more about the woman behind one of our favorite jewelry collections, Fennimas.

Maddy: Starting a Jewelry Collection is very ambitious, what got you started?

Rachel: I needed a creative outlet to express myself, and my gift to the world.  After a few hit and misses, jewelry became relevant as the most natural and potent.  I love jewelry, it's always been a part of my life and the way I tell people who I am.

I can't really remember when I didn't wear it and most of my life; I've been making it.  I love fashion!

Maddy: So when did you actually begin Fennimas; and do you have a target audience?

Rachel: Fennimas was born in early 2009.  Target audience is people who love to wear jewelry, everyone's included. I have clients in a vast age range both male and female. I've done baby bracelets and jewelry for my 70+ grand mother, clip-on's included lol.

Maddy: We all have a creative side of us, but we all can't make jewelry, much less create masterpieces.

Rachel: Thanks Maddy! Exotic cultures, shiny things, the earth and nature...and stylish people!

Maddy: It's always amazing to me how designers of clothing and jewelry basically have to predict what the future of fashion is, how do you bring this to your collections?

Rachel: That's part of the gift, like some have for spotting talent, great thinkers, etc. I feel like you have to have your mind open enough to be able to receive inspiration.

Maddy: So when I first starting working with you, it was bibs and it still is to a certain extent, where are we now in terms of jewelry and what will the Fall look like for us?

Rachel: I'm all about the Men's Line right now!  Not forsaking the women and continuing to do custom orders and centered around the core Vegas and Jungle Love collections.  Coming up will be men's trunk shows and marketing.

Maddy: NICE! Since you mentioned The Men's Collection, tell me about your new collection for "HIM".
